Voted Britain's Best Wedding Planner 2008

Feb 2008 Wedding specialists Tania-Tapel Limited have proved themselves to be top of the tree – having been voted Britain’s best wedding planners at the prestigious Wrapit Wedding Industry Awards for 2008.

The Leicester-based company took the coveted honour at a glittering ceremony at Claridges on Wednesday night (February 20) attended by wedding industry professionals from throughout the UK.

The awards, which recognise excellence in the weddings industry, are supported by Wrapit Gift List Service, Condé Nast Brides magazine and Wedgwood, in association with The National Wedding Show.

Anita Patel, Director of Tania-Tapel which she founded 12 years ago, said after collecting the award: “This is tremendous, particularly as the quality of the other finalists was so high. We owe a special thank-you to all the clients, family and friends who have supported us throughout.”

Tania-Tapel specialise in Asian weddings throughout the UK and have recently expanded their service internationally to include Mumbai and Dubai.

The Wrapit awards were decided by customer testimonials and votes, a spot check from the organisers, a review of the company’s website and an interview from a Wrapit representative.

The national winners were chosen by a distinguished panel of judges – including Pepita Diamand, Wrapit’s founder and retail director, Brides’ magazine editor Deborah Joseph, Moira Gavin, the Chief Executive of Wedgwood and Alexandra Campos, the National Wedding Show’s Marketing Manager.

Sixteen categories – Bridal Dress Retailer, Bridal Dress Designer, Bridal Accessories, Wedding Venue, Wedding Planner, Florist, Photographer, Wedding Cake, Wedding Stationery, Wedding Caterer, Entertainment, Hair & Beauty, Wedding Jewellery, Wedding Carriages, Menswear and Special Touches – were decided at the ceremony.
