A day in the fast lane…Friday 14th March 2008
The call came at 11.30pm, and by midnight I was on the road by taxi to a London hotel, ready for an early morning appearance on the GMTV couch with presenters Kate Garraway and Andrew Castle.
The reason? They wanted the advice of a leading wedding planner on the cost and trends of weddings today.
Kate introduced me as the country’s number one wedding planner (a reference to our Wrapit award) before going on to talk about the escalating costs of weddings which might be leading many English brides to delay their wedding plans. That’s how we came to be talking about wedding tips and tricks between an interview with Tory leader David Cameron, and the latest goings-on in Coronation Street.
Yes, it was a late call and an early start, but in true Tania-Tapel fashion we rose to the occasion and made it happen.
